Competitions Starting from 2017, BananaBots participated in various local and national robotics competitions. While it's exciting to win awards, we are fully aware that competitions are just means to motivate our members. “Winning” is a way to drive us to set and achieve specific goals by excellent preparation, execution and collaboration.
4-H Fair Challenges
Each year at the 4-H fair, all clubs from the Somerset County 4-H Robotics Division are invited to compete in a challenge that requires members operate their robots in autonomous and teleoperated modes, respectively. Division open meetings are scheduled for participants to design, build and practice their robots.
4-H Fair Challenge 2019
Volunteering for the Fair
Many BananaBots parents and members volunteered at the 4-H Fair.
Working with the other clubs from the Robotics Division, we made every possible
effort to make the fair a success. This year we helped to set up and decorate the Robotics tent,
coordinate youth robotics activities, clean food tent, and clean up the fair ground.
We also helped to build a brand new board for the competition!
